If you would like to experience the Whanganui River in a relaxed and peaceful way, we offer canoe hire options.

Arrive at our base and we will transport you to your departure point. 

After a refresher lesson, we will set you off on your way to enjoy a relaxing canoeing journey through the lower reaches of the Whanganui River.

We provide life jackets, canoes, paddles, maps.

2.5 hour canoeing
For those who do not have a lot of time, but who want to experience the beauty of the Whanganui River.  A gentle, easy paddle.
Price:  $50 per person

Half day canoeing
Enjoy the beauty of the Atene bush and the Whanganui National Park as you paddle your way back to our base.  A gentle, easy paddle with time to enjoy the scenery.
Price:  $70 per person

Jet Boat - Canoe combination

The best of both Whanganui River experiences - a jet boat tour and freedom canoe hire.   Allow 3.5 hours.

Price:  $100 per person

Terms and conditions
Minimum numbers apply to all tours.  Warm clothing and outdoor footwear are essential.  For canoeing tours, no denim clothing is permitted. We supply life jackets and all other safety equipment.
